Sorry for the lack of Blogs but we have been busy with family and life which does occasionally get in the way of being Peridot Healing!
So, what do we do when we are not knee deep in life and family stuff, working and volunteering as therapists and teaching our courses?
Well, we usually spend a lot of our down time undertaking our own professional development so that we can share new ideas and courses with our clients and students.
This can involve online study for our own development, research and reading publications relevant to our specialist areas. Travelling the length and breadth of the UK for the right course. BUT always, always when it comes to choosing new courses or workshops for ourselves, we make sure they are a 'face to face’ training and preferably accredited by a recognised regulatory body. Sometimes this isn't always possible especially if they are just a one-day workshop. If that's the case, then we check out the facilitator to make sure they have at least had an appropriate level of training in what they are proposing to teach. Alternatively, we may be fortunate and be taught by someone who is a recognised expert in their field. The amazing Crystal Healer, Philip Permutt is one fine example of this. Having found out the hard way that not all courses are what they say they are, we are now very careful about anything new that we choose to study.
During the last three years we have been off on our travels and completed training in new modalities or expanded our knowledge of those which we already practice or teach. With anything new that we undertake we allow a settling in period before we start to work with it as part of a therapy session. Only when we feel comfortable working with the energy do we make the decision whether to share it as a workshop or course.
The following are a list of new courses which we will be gradually introducing during the rest of the year. Full details will be available when course dates are published.
Crystal Therapist - Over the summer we will be introducing a very special course which is not currently available anywhere in the County and we will be the only authorised provider in Lincolnshire. This will be of special interest to those of you who seek only accredited courses.
Karuna Reiki - This is a development course for Usui Reiki Masters or Master Teachers which will be introduced later in the year.
Reiki Drumming - This course is for Usui Practitioners who have been attuned to level 2 and adds a new aspect to Reiki Healing.
Munay Ki - You will have reached a point in your life when you will be a seeker of the Rites and will know the right time to receive them. The Rites of the Munay-Ki transform and upgrade your luminous energy field. They are energetic transmissions that heal the wounds of the past-the karmic & genetic programs and beliefs you inherited........
These are just a taster of what's to come.
We will of course continue to teach our other Reiki courses, Crystal workshops and Reflexology self-help workshops.
We started on this path not knowing where it would lead us but never thinking that we would develop an insatiable desire to learn all that we can to heal ourselves and help others to heal themselves. We are seekers on a never-ending journey.
Not too many centuries ago the various healing modalities were as one and it is only with the progress of mankind that they have become fragmented. There were no Reiki practitioners, Aromatherapists, Reflexologists, Homeopaths, etc. There were 'Healers. We are on that Path ......
