Why the two systems of Reiki?

For me this was part of a personal development journey. After studying the levels of the Usui Reiki system I found myself being directed towards Angelic Reiki®. Not quite understanding why, but willing to go with my instinct, I embarked on my wonderful journey with Angelic Reiki®.
I didn't think for one minute that it would play a significant part in my practice.

I knew full well that the two systems were quite different in their foundations and that the purists amongst Reiki practitioners would struggle to understand why...

At the conclusion of my Angelic Reiki® training my personal opinion was, and still is,
that there is a place for both systems within my practice and teaching.

The over-riding factor within both systems, indeed all Reiki systems,
is the intention to facilitate ‘Healing’ to take place.

What is a Reiki treatment?

'Rei-ki' is a Japanese word which translates into 'Universal - Life energy'

A Reiki treatment is very simple. You, the recipient remain fully clothed. Loose, comfortable clothing is best and you would usually lay on a treatment couch.
However, you can receive healing in a seated position if you prefer or if a disability
prevents you from lying down.

I gently position my hands in non intrusive positions on or near areas of your body.
There is no massage or manipulation involved. I treat the whole person rather than specfic areas.

Reiki is a non intrusive treatment with no known contra indications.

A treatment can last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on your needs.
The duration of a treatment will be set at the start of each session.

Experiences of Reiki treatments vary from person to person.

Reiki treatments are a safe and soothing treatment that can be:

Helpful when you are feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from life.

Treatments can be beneficial for short or long term conditions.

It can bring comfort, acceptance and a more positive outlook on life.

Supportive for mothers during pregnancy and can be a wonderful. relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Helpful at the end of life where Reiki can be a great comfort to the recipient and families
by helping to promote a sense of peace and acceptance.

Sometimes a single treatment may be all you need, but sometimes a series of treatments may be beneficial if you have long standing emotional or spiritual needs.
I am not trained to diagnose or predict treatment outcomes and would always recommend that clients consult their doctor about any health concerns they may have.

Which system for Healing?

You need only trust that you will receive the perfect healing for you.

Which system should you learn?

You will be drawn to one system of Reiki more than the other and If in any doubt I would always recommend just going with your gut instinct. It’s usually right.
